Thank you so much for your comments about the silencing of Palestinian and pro-Palestinian voices. This is something that needs to be said.

Any recommendations for specifically pro-Palestinian publishers? Thank you for this important work that you are doing.

Thanks for asking about this -- I'm hoping to point folks to some options, or at least ways for researching it, in the next bulletin. What I'm doing now is checking out recent social media posts from any place I'm considering to share my work with. Are they publishing Palestinian writers? Have they expressed solidarity--and also engaged in actions of solidarity? Are they silent? etc.

There have also been so many instances of faux support that it often feels like real-time research is the best option... for instance, the Poetry Foundation posts poems by Palestinian writers but then refuses to use the word genocide or speak up for Palestinian poets in danger... I'm sorry I don't have a more straightforward reply, but I'm watching for resources like this! If you find one or create one, let me know.

Wow, I did not know that about Terrapin Books, thank you for highlighting that.

Hello Emily! Too true, I don’t feel that my Palestine response will be welcomed anywhere, and I’m hesitant to even put it on Substack. What a time to be alive 😞
