Dearest Emily, I’m a quiet one on most posts and am subscribed to this email list using a different email from when I got my own Substack…but I want to share gratitude for the work you’ve done. Also, as one who’s dealt with chronic illness, I deeply honor your rest. Can I send you a copy of my UNRULY poetry book as a gift, and thank you as one of the recipients of the funding you’ve stewarded? It’s part chronic illness reckonings, and part reclamation.
Just popping in as a silent appreciater and fellow chronically ill poet to say thank you so much for the work you have and continue to put into this, and to send good mojo your way. Wishing you the best, in whatever form that takes for you <3
Thank you so much for all the work you have done on this! And I hope the coming year brings renewal and healing to you. Sending hugs and positive thoughts!
Wishing you the very best, Emily! I hope that you find rest and healing in the new year. I'm grateful for your Poetry Bulletin, and I know that so many others are, too. 💕
Thank you, Emily, for every step and keystroke you took for our community! I'm especially grateful to you for your efforts toward fair, nonpredatory treatment of writers by publishers. Thank you! You continue to inspire me with tbe announcement of ypur hiatus. I'm so glad you're taking care of yourself. Yes to that. Every best wish to you, Jami
Your care of the bulliton has been so inspirational! You've shown me how warm and welcoming online community can be and I hope that you get all the rest that you need ❤️
It is a gracious and kind gift that you are giving to yourself even as you must. The Universe turns and as you turn your work over, may the next best Steward appear. Be well and love yourself as others do. xo
Prayers your health will be amazing and excellent in 2026 and beyond. Thank you for all you’ve done, and will be doing in the future!
You are an incredibly generous human and I wish you nothing but healing and restoration as you ease into this pause🙏.

I, too, have a dynamic disability. Wishing you the best and hoping you are able to take the time you need and your body is demanding.
Thank you so much for all the work you have done on this! And I hope the coming year brings renewal and healing to you. Sending hugs and positive thoughts!
I am very sorry to hear of your health "challenges," as they are called. Thank you for all you have done and are still doing. I am grateful.

Take care of yourself. Poetry can wait. It’s always with you, and us, anyway. What you’ve done here is awesome. You deserve to look after you.
Get well, Emily. If there’s anything individually or collectively I/we can do to alleviate the pressure, please ask.
Glad you're taking care of yourself. I hope you feel better soon.
Sending light and wishes for healing. With gratitude for all you've done.
Thank you for all you do, Emily.
