Confidential, poet-to-poet support to cover submission fees and help give your poetry book an at-least-a-little-more-fair chance to get in front of publishers. Over $10,000 given to more than 200 poets since March 2021.
WHO THIS SUPPORT IS FOR
Poets who can’t afford to submit their manuscripts to publishers. Poets who face barriers of time, access, or energy. Poets who have historically been underrepresented.
WHAT THIS SUPPORT COVERS
Submission fees for poetry chapbooks and full-length poetry manuscripts only.
A maximum of three submissions per poet, per year
HOW TO GET SUPPORT
If submission fees are a barrier for you, let me know. This fund covers a max of three submissions per poet, per year. Just tell me:
Up to three places you're submitting a poetry chapbook or full-length book
How much it costs
A single, simple note is great. No worries about including extra details about yourself or why you deserve support. I trust you're reaching out because you could use the boost, and this is all done in the spirit of mutual aid.
Please do not send the same request more than once. It makes it harder for me to do this work in a timely way—I promise I’m getting your emails, so no need to repeat.
Try to reach out at least one week before your deadline. I try my best to get back to everyone quickly, but I can’t follow up fast enough for last-minute deadlines.
THANK YOU!
The circle of poetry supporters includes: paid subscribers on Substack, Auzin, Diana Whitney, Tell Tell Poetry, Diane Lee Moomey, Donna Spruijt-Metz, POMPOM, Tharani Balachandran, Tin Fogdall, hardy kiwi, and six anonymous poets.
